Thank you for designing this
line! My sister, Nadia, bought some of your items at the APPNA
conference in New Orleans, was thrilled,
showed me and I was so glad to see
somebody had put together such a fantastic line of cosmetics
- and that they had the foresight to make it available online!
Keep up the great work. Best, Rosina (South Asian). New York,
NY
I love this site and am so happy that it exists -finally!
The concept of a red lipstick, a foundation that might actually
work for me, is so exciting.
I haven't even tried any face powder or foundation in over
ten years because it is such a hassle to match to my face.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for existing!

Hi, I think it's a fantastic idea to start
this line of makeup. It's about timesomeone
did it! I'm just excited that you've done.
I talk about stuff like this with friends all the time.
It's great to know someone's actually gone out and done something
about it. Just for fun, I always try to find a
use for all the "free gift" cosmetics I get -- colors that
almost invariably look hideous on me and most other women
of color. I find that with the right basic browns and purples,
I can transform any hideous color into something wearable,
but it would be nice to be able to slick on
something with one stroke and not have to worry about
blending/matching colors. That's why your line of makeup can
positively revolutionize
the way I wear makeup! Good luck with Real Cosmetics!

Thank you, thank you, thank you
for such a wonderful idea and web site!
I have searched high and low for cosmetics that blended well
with my skin tone. Thanks again!

I just ordered the Delhi foundation and powder. This
is really some of the best make up I have ever used!
I had a compliment last week from someone who
said it didn't even look like I had make up on. Thank
you. Christie (Caucasian) San Francisco, CA

My name is Elizabeth and I am a Mexican woman. I've always have
a really hard time finding the perfect red lipstick,
they're usually too pink but sometimes they're a little
orange. And I'm also an in between in foundations, because
I'm light but not really light its
hard to find the right foundation and powder. I
am currently on a mission to find a light, natural looking
lipstick which isn't too pink or bright. As a Latina woman,
I have extreme difficulty finding the right colors for my
complexion. Thank you so much
for starting this makeup line. I wish you the best
of luck! Sincerely,
Elizabeth Berkeley, CA

Hi,
I just wanted to give you some feedback on your site as I
was very impressed with the 'message'
that you are sending. I am of Indian descent (parents
are from Mumbai) but born and raised in Philadelphia, PA I
believe that I am a strong, bold, independent
personality that believes deeply in my culture and
has always had to work very hard to get where I am today.
I have always been in a male-dominated industry (I am an engineer
by degree) and in the Consulting Industry, the political games
are atrocious. The times have been evolving around us lately
as we are trying to struggle more and
more with this 'global culture' around us as I have
only recently began to know myself more deeply.
It is very encouraging to see a cosmetics
line which is made for women like us. I
salute you and wish you well with your business.

I
was very impressed when I recently logged onto your site.
It is a very clean, clear, direct site with social consciousness.
It is nice to see this problem, and
it is definitely a problem, addressed.
I recently went to the MAC counter to refill my makeup
only to find that they had recently discontinued my colors.
It is very difficult for me to find a match for my skin. I
often have to resort to going to Prescriptives to have it
custom blended which gets expensive. I think
that this is a great idea and company. Good luck!

My name is Erika and below are some of
my concerns about cosmetics. My major needs are foundation
covering few, but pink blemishes. The foundation is usually
too noticeable, it is more pink than my skin. Also, I need
my features to stick out more prominently, and it
is hard to find a lipstick without a pinkish base. Pink
does not work well with my skin tone.I
am excited to hear that your makeup is not pink based-thanks!
